How it all started
The Muldoon Mercantile was a general merchandise store in the town of Muldoon, Texas, which grew rapidly after the arrival of the San Antonio and Aransas Pass Railroad in 1887. The specific Muldoon Mercantile was originally the general store, built in the late 1800s and owned by A.B. Kerr. It was a central part of Muldoon’s vibrant community, which also included a physician, saloon, hotel, and other businesses. the mercantile was restored and serves as an event venue today.
